Markville Boys Club:
The Markville Boy's Club will be holding it's next event on Wed April 29 from 3:00 to 6:00.  Each team will be given a Muskoka Chair kit and will plan and build together.  When completed the chairs will be auctioned to parents and members of the community.  All of the money raised will go towards a charity of the team's choice.
When the teams arrive in the gym after school they will be introduced to Vivien Green who is the director of Victim Services in York Region.  She will briefly talk about the various agencies in the community that provide support to victims of violence.  Students will then  break off, into designers, builders and researchers.  The researchers will gather information on the charity of their choice and provide them will information about this project.
Also on hand will be Mark Garron, the owner of "Muskoka in a Box", the provider of our chairs.  He will help the teams get started with the construction.
We hope that this "chairity" event will continue to develop co-operation, leadership and community involvement.
