African American

- This website is dedicated to the African Americans who suffered and fought through World War Two!

-During the second World War , many African Americans were living in poverty.

-African Americans suffered tremendously during the Great Depression.

- African American soldiers and civilians were increasingly unwilling to quietly accept a segregated army or the discriminatory            conditions they had previously endured in the World War One

- African Americans who owned newspapers protested discrimination and segregation

- The pictures on my right are different pictures that show how and what African Americans went through.

- The top picture shows segregation within the south ( an African American male has to enter a movie theater  separately from the other race ... Caucasian  )

-The picture of the legend is based on Non-Caucasian households in Birmingham, Alabama

- The picture of the African American male with the navy outfit on is Dorie Miller, who participated in Pearl Harbor, he came to the aid of his shipmates on the U.S.S. West Virginia

- The picture with the the people all bunched together is representing the number of murders within African American veterans

- The African American women shown in the picture is women who were nurses during WW2 , this picture was taken in England of 1944

- The African American Male was the 1st professional photographer who was permitted to photograph all black 332nd Fighter Pilot Squadron in a combat situation.

- The picture with the the title saying: "Why Should We March?", is African Americans who protested segregation. This happened in Washington, D. C., in 1941.

- The picture with the beautiful young African American women Lena Horne and some men from the Tuskegee Army Air Field.
