Rationale

Students will gain an understanding of important people and events of the 1920s and 1930s in Canada.  Creating a Comic Life Panel allows students to better analyze and understand people and issues of the time period while expanding both presentation and technological skills.

Task

Students will create a Comic Life Panel examining an individual or event from the 20s or 30s. The panel should include the following:

1.     IMAGES:  collect various pictures of your topic - be sure they are of good quality and relevant

2.     HISTORICAL CONTENT:  ensure the panel contains relevant information about the topic - consider the 5Ws and H

3.     DIALOGUE OR COMMENTARY:  ensure the dialogue or commentary makes reference to key terms, people or dates AND slang from the 1920s and 1930s

4.     STORYLINE / ANALYSIS:  your panel should contain a relevant storyline that depicts the topic (ie.  descriptive, analytical, satirical, humourous, historical importance etc.)
