Canada joined plan and shipped $706 million in food, equipment, and raw materials to Europe
Between 1948-1953, Canada and USS contributed $13.5 million in European economic aid



Historical Significance
Western Europe made amazing recovery, far beyond expectations of the people who had helped engineer it
Within a decade, stability and prosperity had returned to Western Europe including former Axis powers, especially Germany
