WELCOME! This course is designed to extend the professional learning and leadership skills of candidates as teachers in the senior social sciences and humanities. The curriculum focus for the course will examine instructional design and assessment approaches suited to Grade 11 and 12 courses such as Economics, Law, Politics, Introduction to Anthropology, Psychology and Sociology, Philosophy, World Religions and Native Studies. The professional learning component will examine strategies for effective leadership in a variety of educational communities. Topics and issues for the course will, in large part, be informed by the examination of professional literature and practitioner experience.
