TASK
Pick a Department, Body or Office in the United Nations) and create a
poster that responds to the question: What is the most important issue
facing the world that the UN should address as its top priority?
Your poster will be distributed in high schools, community centres and
government offices around the world. It
must be clear in its message and easily understandable by people of all
different backgrounds, languages, socio-economic backgrounds. It should educate people in a universal and
graphic way about the importance of the issue (an example would be the
effectiveness of the Live8 campaign from a few years ago: http://www.live8live.com/theconcerts/
). It should compel people around the
world to want to take up the cause and make a difference in helping to manage
the issue locally, nationally or internationally.
