Legacy Assignment
As the term draws to a close, as the end of your high school experience comes
ever closer, it is time to leave your mark. To capture
for those that will follow you what you believed in and where you hope to go.
Great things lie ahead for you and this “final assignment” is your opportunity
to capture yourself in this moment. What to do?
The Assignment
1. Get a picture taken of yourself that you think captures the essence
of You. Your dress, posture, pose will speak volumes.
What do you want your picture to say?
2. The only requirement for an element within the picture is that it shows Peace, Hope and/or your Philosophy of life.
3. You will also be required to add at least one Word or Quote that you feel best describes what you have become, or what you hope to become. You could use a quote from an ancient philosopher, a current musician, or come up with your own quote. Please give credit to the author of the quote you choose.
The How?
1. You will need to have a picture taken using a digital camera from the
school. Someone will be available to take pictures at a time agreed upon with
them.
2. We will be learning how to use Adobe Photoshop in the Computer Lab during our class This will also be a time to draw a draft, find a quote and if you are prepared, to take pictures.
3. You will make the picture in Photoshop on Wednesday June
4th in the lab.
Picture Specifications:
1. You will make a picture that will be printed on a standard 8.5X11 Photo
Sheet… in Photoshop please work with 8 inches by 10.5 inches, 72dpi (you decide
which will be height and width) so that nothing gets cut off by the printer.
2. The picture and text will be Black and White (or
Grayscale in Photoshop).
