A major event that sparked “The War on Terror” is the September 11 2001 attack on the world trade center. This was when two hijacked airplanes crashed into the two towers and destroyed them. This devastated the world and is a cause for the ongoing war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some key people in the war on terror are George Bush, Osama Bin laden, and Saddam Hussein. The war on terror is different from others wars, cause it is not all frontline action, it is more like spying and then taking down the enemy.

Importance of the War on Terror The War
on Terror’s impact has affected Canada greatly. This has been affecting
Canada since we joined the war. We have had to increase our army size and we
had either had to have better ties with the USA or weaken our ties with the
USA. Basically if Canada did not join the War on Terror we would weaken our
ties with USA because they would be made we did not back them. But if we
joined the War on Terror, which we did, our ties with the USA are increased.
Finally the War on Terror has impacted our military and our foreign
relations. The War on Terror affected our military because it has forced us
to have a bigger army and fight in a war. The War on Terror has affected our
foreign relations because we have increased our ties with the USA, but we
may have made enemies or weakened our ties with countries like Iraq, and
Afghanistan.
