| THE STORY Joseph-Armand Bombardier lived from 1907-1964. In that time he managed to create many different recreation and transport vehicles. One of his most famous inventions was the snowmobile. The snowmobile a multipurpose, motorized vehicle designed to travel in all snow conditions. Became very popular in may places both as a recreation vehicle and a work hours. The first snowmobile that Bombardier ever made was a Frankenstein of a ford model t and a sled. The model t which was given to bombardier by his father to keep him away from the family car was dismantled. The engine removed and mounted on the sled with a large propeller that powers the vehicle this was the first snowmobile ever made. The large success of Bombardier led to the founding of Bombardier Ink. This company made its name with the ski-doo or the snowmobile and the Sea-doo. Sins the creation of the snowmobile Bombardier is now a world leader in the transport industry manufacturing Air craft, trains, cable cars and may different recreation vehicles.

Why is Bombardier Important to Canadian History? Mr Bombardier is important to Canadian history because he was one of the worlds grates inventors and success stories. He has developed many different inventions that many people use every day like trains, cable cars and snowmobiles. Also Bombardier has shown us that if u do what you love the money will come later. |
