Summary

Between 1946 to 1966 a massive wave of new borns desended on Canada. This was called Baby Boom where these newborns needed a greater amount of demands on Canada than ever before. From baby items to school there were more newborns than Canada could keep up with. After the Baby Boomers grew old, they created a more secure environment because of the massive influence and amount of them.

Summary

Baby boomers have had more income yet they spend it faster than a normal non- baby boomer Canadian. It shows that the baby boomers are not saving enough money but depending on the Government for retirement funds.

Historical Significance

This article shows the historic significance of baby boomers to Canadians, it showed that baby boomers put a lot of stress on Canada because of the massive demand needed but also proivided Canada with many job oppotunities and better conditions for seniors.

It shows that baby boomers are a burden to the government and do not know how to save money yet earn more. This also had similar in United States.
