Summary:

After WWII, many countries are unstable and desperately poor. With huge population with people who are often poorly educated and lack job training. Some do not even have the basics as food, clean water, and clothing. Therefore, Canadians have worked to reduce poverty and bring development to the countries. Canadian government send money and young Canadians went to the third world country to help.

Historical Importance


Canada has been supporting the foreign aid since 1950 after WWII, and has played an important part in history.

For example, Canada was one of the first countries to respond to Hurricane Katrina, which helped millions to rebuild their homes. Also, in 2005, the tragic occurrence of the tsunami in South East Asia presented many needs and financial aid from foreign countries, which includes Canada. In conclusion, Canada played an important role in supporting foreign countries in their tragedies.
