CGE2D1 - Understanding Europe and Asia

This course investigates the ever changing diversities of Europe and Asia. Students will learn about different cultures and peoples and their interactions with one another and they will be introduced to the complexities of the political and economic situations that exist within (and between) a number of Eurasian countries. They will investigate the regional variations in land forms, climate and resources, and be introduced to the natural systems and natural disasters that arise from these variations. Students will also explore significant environmental issues on these two great continents. In addition, because Canada and Canadians are touched by events which occur in Europe and Asia, students will gain a better appreciation for the interdependent nature of the countries of the world.
