This course gives students the opportunity to "sample" each
area of Technological Education: Communications, Design and
Manufacturing. Students will "rotate" through two different
teachers, each who specializes in a specific area of technology. By
the end of the course, students will have experienced each area and will
have completed projects from the different disciplines within
technology. This will enable students to better understand which Tech
courses to select for Grade 10. Students will discover the
technological and computer concepts they will need in order to design,
develop, and build usable products or to deliver services, as well as to
pursue further technological studies. Students will use the technological design
process and a variety of tools and software to solve problems, complete
projects, and strengthen their communication skills.
